Obituary of Cristina M. Maldonado

Please share a memory of Cristina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Cristina was born on May 4, 1991, to Diana and Ricardo Maldonado in Bridgeport Connecticut. Cristina, affectionately “Cristy”, was educated in the Philadelphia School District. After contemplating military service, she spent a brief period of school training for the Army. It was, however, her love of family, compassion for those less fortunate, and career that would steer her adult life. Her bright smile and beautiful spirit will be truly missed. She always made time to counsel her nieces whenever they needed some advice or a tender ear. She envisioned organizing a non-profit called Ricky’s Daughter when she prepared and stored bags of food, juices and clothes in her car if she happened upon a stranger who was in need. She would have loved ones drive around for hours just giving the items away. She wanted everyone to feel and look both special and beautiful. She took pride in her appearance and decided to pursue a career in beauty consulting. She did private consultations and worked her way up through the ranks to become a beauty consultant manager. Cristina met the love of her life, Brandon, and they began their fairytale romance. You could just look at them together to know how much they were in love. They were destined to be together. If there were any doubts, they were completely pushed aside with the birth of their first born, Madiston on June 19, 2018. With the arrival of Brandon, Jr. on January 5, 2021, their family was complete. Cristina settled into her role as a mom and her children’s elation and shrills of joy when she walked into the room spoke volumes. They moved from Philadelphia to Pennsauken, NJ. Cristina began and quickly excelled in her new job at Navy Federal Credit Union, Cherry Hill. Brandon couldn’t have dreamed of a better mother for his children, and he knew what had to be done to show how much he loved and appreciated her. So, he proposed to Cristina, and they were married during a private and intimate ceremony on March 1, 2022. Her kind, gentle, warm and loving presence will be missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
