Carolyn Grant, daughter of the Late Harriet and Herman McKnight Jr. Born in Newark, New Jersey on September 15, 1949. She entered eternal rest on August 20, 2022, at 2:25 p.m. at her home in Camden, NJ, where she resided over 20 years. She was united in marriage to the late William Grant on May 31, 1989. Carolyn attended the Newark Public School system. She worked for Campbell Soup inc., Forest Hill Elementary School, Marriot Hotel inc., And Walmart. Growing up she was affectionately known as (Ca Ca) a little girl who would stay up late at night playing with her dolls. She loved to play school with her sisters and brothers who would say she was bossy; she was the teacher every time because she was the boss. She enjoyed reading Mysteries, Novels, and the Sunday News paper Comics. Carolyn was an amazing artist that could draw a picture of you that would look exactly like you. Her daughter Tracy once lied and won first place in a drawing contest from a Picture that Carolyn drew for her. She was also a great writer, if anyone needed a letter for court, the mayor, even President Obama she was the go-to lady. Carolyn was the life of the party especially if Billy D. (colt 45) was there and most times he was. and always spoke her mind or would tell you off as she would say. She didn’t know how to work cellphones, but she found a way to keep her daughter Coonie AKA (asshole) on the house phone block list. Carolyn was preceded in death by Her Parents Herman and Harriet McKnight, Her older sister Marlene Crawley, three brothers Louis McKnight Sr., Leroy Dawson McKnight, and Herman McKnight 3rd. Carolyn leaves behind to cherish her memories she leaves to morn: 6 Children, Tracy Cook, Leticia Lloyd, Rasheed Lloyd, Zakia Lloyd, Rashan Lloyd, and Carolyn Lloyd; 1 son in law Patrick Cook; 1 Brother Kenneth McKnight; 2 Sisters Linda Bynum and Anna McKnight; 1 Brother-in-law Dennis Bynum; 1 Sister-in-law Adela Barge McKnight. 13 Grandchildren; 7 Great grand Children; And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special extended family members, Zachary Smith (son); Edward Holland; (brother). Best Friend Carla Brown of Camden, NJ.
