Obituary of Carlos R Velazquez

Carlos R. Velazquez was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to parents Carmen Maria Davila and Segundo Velazquez on July 21, 1949. He had 2 brothers and 5 sisters. He was survived by his wife, Haydee Gonzalez, his 3 daughters and 5 sons. Carlos was the salsa man. He enjoyed himself, alongside his wife and family with turning up the volume every Saturday, picking up his maracas, congas and guido and playing alongside with the music. Carlos was also a strong and courageous man. He battled through many infirmities. He never gave up until his last breath at the age of 73. Whatever curve ball life threw at him, he was always able to catch it.  Carlos favorite sports teams were the Phillies and the Philadelphia Eagles. There was nothing you could tell him about those teams. Through it all, Carlos was a very loving husband, father and a kind and giving man. He will truly be forever in our hearts and missed indefinitely.  We thank you in taking the time out to come and show your love and support to the passing of our beloved Carlos Reuben Velazquez.
