Please share a memory of LaTrece to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Latrece D. Davis age 37 also known as “Trecie '' was born in Camden, NJ to Sheila and the late Timothy Davis on February 10, 1985. Latrece was a born again Christian and was baptized as a young girl. She was educated in the Camden City School District and graduated from Camden County Technical School receiving her diploma in 2003. She went on to attend Kean University. As a child, she attended Sword of the Spirit Christian Center in Camden, NJ along with her family. As an adult, she attended Christian Ambassadors Worship Center International, where she was ordained as a Minister. At this ministry, God gave Latrece a vision called S.A.L.T Ministry, which was a ministry to encourage and edify young women. The scripture that she stood on was Matthew 5:13 which is: “Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.” Latrece was an avid reader of the Bible and loved studying the Old Testament. Trecie had a very quiet spirit but when God gave her something to say, she would surely say it in Holy boldness. She had a passion for soul winning and she touched many lives with God’s Love. loved the Word of God and had strong faith which she inherited from her mother and father walking with the Lord.  In her life, Latrece worked in banking, childcare and her last position was at Lowes Home Improvement in Atlanta, Georgia where she lived. Latrece had a love for children, especially her Goddaughter, Alee, whom she also lovingly called Alee boo. Latrece had a special bond with her sister, Tymithia, who was also her bestie. They were inseparable and enjoyed laughing and joking with one another. Latrece loved to minister the Word of God on Facebook. Her very last post on Facebook reads the Battle is The Lord’s, 2 Chronicles 20:15. Latrece lived a life of worship unto the Lord and it showed throughout her life. If you knew her you know that she loved God with all her heart. She touched so many hearts in so many ways. She loved spreading the word of God to whomever she could, whenever she could. Whether it be in the pulpit, in person, over the phone or via social media. She may have been shy at times, but she wanted everyone to know Christ and how much God loves His people. Mostly everyone has seen the Minister side of LaTrece but, if you ever got close enough to see her silly side, you were in for a treat. Her smile and laugh could light up a room and was very contagious.   Trecie was very fashionable and had a love for the color pink, leopard print and lots of bling. Her favorite food was chicken and she loved eating cheese. Some of her pastimes included watching basketball, especially her favorite team the Philadelphia 76ers, Meet The Browns and Everybody loves Raymond. She enjoyed the Christmas Season, shopping, eating, praying, and taking naps. One of her goals was to start traveling but God saw differently. Latrece is now in glory with her beloved father, Timothy. She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother; Sheila Davis, sister; Tymithia Davis, Goddaughter; Alee Lashay Moore, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends & Church Family. We will miss you, Latrece. Woman of God, Minister, Author, Founder of S.A.L.T Ministry. Although she will be truly missed, we all know that she is where she always was here on earth, in God’s presence. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the Faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day- and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
