Toby was my next door neighbor. Most times, we left out our house the same time on our way to work. I am greatful for him always being available when I and my children had emergencies.
He would share his wisdom and always willing to drive, share a ride to support our children through their sports and basketball journey. Thank you Nebetcher (God) for his example and the opportunity to have a brother from another mother in this lifetime.
Seeing the light of God that NEVER fails illuminating your soul in heaven.

Q: What will you never forget about Tobin?
A: I will never forget standing in a gym, watching our daughters play basketball in an all-boys league. We started our own 501C nonprofit basketball organization (Boro Blitz) in year 2000, for our daughters and it blew up so BIG we had many daughters & sons come thru our program over 15 years. Toby would always find a way to motivate the teams before we played our game. He would dance, sing, make sense statements, all along with a Big Beautiful Smile. I'm so happy to have had Toby be a part of my family's life. He will be greatly missed. Thank you and sending our LOVE to his beautiful FAMILY!

My Neighborhood friend in West Philly, whom I enjoyed reconnecting with over the phone last year after about 45 years of being away since joining the Air Force in 1979. Toby and Terry and I attended University City together! But before that, I remember the legacy of the red, white and blue trash cans of the “Young Great Society” aka “YGS!” I was delighted to reconnect with Toby after so many years, and even more blessed to hear, he too was walking with the Lord! My heart goes out to the Wrice family and friends, may God comfort you and give you peace during this time of grief and loss. I too will miss you on this side my Brother, but by faith will see you on the other side someday! Blessings and Agape, your friend and Brother in the Lord, Tony McKinney from State Street.

My daughter has been trained and coached by Sabra for the past 6 years, and her beloved Dad, Coach Toby Wrice, was always right there by Sabra's side. He was always a huge supporter and encourager of my daughter. Every time he saw her, he would pull her to the side to drop his pearls of wisdom into her. He also always gave me tips and tricks to help her along the way as a parent. He was such a fun-spirited, joyfully loud, and very wise man. Two things were abundantly clear when in his presence: he loved the Lord, and he loved his family. He was a very special person, and he will be missed! I pray his family will take comfort in knowing he is resting in our Heavenly Father's arms now.

Toby, Terri, my husband, Joe, and I often worked tournaments for Blue Chip Basketball. He made everything fun with his kind, easygoing personality. One night at a tournament, later on in the evening when things had quieted down, Toby was walking around the front desk, he started singing We’ve come this far by faith…, since I knew this song, I joined in and finished the song with Toby. I had long thought that Terri and Toby might be believers, but this incident let me know that we shared a faith in Jesus. I am so grateful for the man and friend that Toby was. His friendship has enriched my life. I have no doubt that last Monday morning when Toby left this life, that he was greeted with a warm embrace from His Lord, and a “Welcome Home, my Good and Faithful Servant.”. I look forward to the day when I will meet my friend again in heaven. Lynne Cogan

Big Brother, when I read this poem called "If Tomorrow Starts Without Me" attributed to David Romano, I think of you and I know I will miss the person who God gave us for 64 wonderful year! Thank you for being our big brother! I will see you again! Tony
When tomorrow starts without me, And I'm not there to see, If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me,
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today
While thinking of the many things
We did get to say.
I know how much you love me, As much as I love you, and each time that you think of me, I know you'll miss me too.
But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand, That an angel came and called my name, And took me by my hand, and said my place was ready, In heaven far above, And that I'd have to leave behind All those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away, A tear fell from my eye
For all my life, I'd always thought, I didn't want to die.
I had so much to live for, So much left yet to do, It seemed almost impossible, That I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays
The good ones and the bad, I thought of all the love we shared, and all the fun we had
If I could re-live yesterday
Just even for a while, I'd say good-bye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized, That this could never be, For emptiness and memories, would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things, I might miss come tomorrow, I thought of you, and when I did, My heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through heaven's gates, I felt so much at home
When God looked down and smiled at me, From His great golden throne.
He said, "This is eternity, And all I've promised you."
Today your life on earth is past, But here life starts anew
I promise no tomorrow, But today will always last, And since each day's the same way
There's no longing for the past.
You have been so faithful, So Trusting and so true.
Though there were times
You did some things
You knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven
And now at last you're free.
So won't you come and take my hand
And share my life with me?
So when tomorrow starts without me, Don't think we're far apart, For every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart.

So sorry to hear of Tobin's passing. I have fond memories of the man, the coach, my friend. We met many year's ago through a mutual friend, Coach Johnnie Frederick, when he arranged a scrimmage game while Tobin was with the Willingboro AAU Programn(Boro Blitz). He loved and supported all of his players so much! He will be missed but I believe he is resting in the arms of God. Sleep well my friend, we love you dearly, but God loves you best!

Coach Toby coached my daughter and teammates with the KLOW group in 2021. He was an excellent mentor and motivator. Coach Toby gave the girls guidance and looked out for their interests. The best story for Coach. They were playing a tournament in Spooky Nook. The girls were losing early after 2 minutes. Coach called time out. He told the girls, "I'm not doing this again, stop messing around you know what to do!" Then he sat down. The girls blew that game out the gym. He never stood up the rest of the game. He always asked about his girls. Coach Toby is a great man.

"Hosana, Let our King be lifted up." Those were the words my brother Tobin texted me on 2-20-23 @ 10:17 am. If it wasn't for his pleasant conversation & instructions on life he was praising God.Ive known him since we were kids and he's a adopted member of my family the Millers.Husband, Father, Engineer, Coach, Mentor & Servant of the Most High.He always spoke of how he idolized his Father & Mother. He has now transitioned but has motivated me even more to see him in the Kingdom.RIP my brother, See you in the morning.
