Obituary of Ekay L Brown, Jr.

Ekay Love Brown, Jr. "Sparky", was born in Camden, NJ on December 9, 1944, to the late Margaret Julia Brown and Ekay Love Brown Sr. At the age of 18, Sparky began employment with the Local 222 in Camden, NJ and retired in 2005. On April 21, 2006, he married the love of his life Barbara Pitts- Brown and gained two bonus children Darnell and Brittany Pitts. Sparky was an avid lover of jazz music, international news and his all-time favorite movie The Godfather. He was a free spirit who was loved and respected by all. There are not many that know him who do not have a great story to tell about him. There is no knowing him without remembering him. Sparky's heart was truly pure. He was predeceased by his brother Larry Brown and sister Marlene Brown Williams. Ekay leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife Barbara, daughter Tracy Payton, bonus daughters Brittany Pitts and Kathy Bell, bonus sons Darnell Pitts (Latisha) and Ernest 'Chucky' Bell, grandson Ekay Gibbs, granddaughter Selcy Turpin (Andre) , brothers Bryant (Koren) and Gregory, sister Lillian, nieces Marshay, Kia, LaCreia, Izetta, Winter, nephew Najee, special nephew Isiah, bonus grandchildren Maalik and Danajja Pitts, sister-in-laws Tracey Thompson (Leith) , Mary Carlisle, brother-in-laws Kenneth Pitts (Lynea) , Charles Pitts, five great grandchildren, devoted cousin Joyce Brown, special Goddaughter Lisa Johnson (Ty), and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
