Mr.Mwape was a pillar at Penn-Tech. When I had the opportunity to learn chemistry from him, he offered more than just teaching the periodic table and writing chemical formulas. Every day he would encourage his students to give it their all and excel in what each of us decided we had a passion for. The positivity exerted in that classroom allowed his students to look forward to learning something new.
Often I would stay during lunch to help clean the lab areas and discuss my future, his experiences, and life advice. I always liked to volunteer to hand out assignments, collect materials for an experiment, and confirm that his students had everything required. He loved how I presented myself, performed academically, and persevered through the challenges. His words without a doubt brought value to our lives and certainly provided the motivation and mindset most needed to walk in the right direction.
Mr.Mwape is such an admirable and considerate person. We love him because he truly cared and wanted the best for his students. I will graduate this 2023 school year with him in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so glad to have had him a part of my journey. May the lord comfort him and his family.

I remember the first time I met James at the River of Life Church in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. We hit it off immediately and I knew we had a powerful, heart-to-heart, Christian-brotherhood relationship. I always admired James’ great faith and courage, especially regarding his part in the events surrounding Tiananmen Square in 1989. We stayed in touch over the years, our last meeting being while voting during the 2016 general election at the Impact Live church in Cherry Hill. I never thought that would be the last time I’d see him this side of heaven. Rest in peace my Brother.
Steve Hitchman.

Losing a teacher is never easy, but losing one who touched your heart in a special way can be heartbreaking. I am deeply saddened by the passing of my beloved teacher. He had a unique way of connecting with students and made us feel valued and appreciated. His passion for teaching was evident in the way he interacted with us, and he always went above and beyond to ensure that we understood the material. He had a way of making the most difficult subjects seem easy, and his patience and kindness were unmatched.
I will always remember the lessons he taught me both in and out of the classroom and his big smile every greeting us every day . He had a contagious energy that made me excited to learn, and I always looked forward to his classes. His love for teaching was evident in the way he approached each day, and he never failed to put a smile on our faces. His legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched, and I will forever be grateful for the impact he had on my life.
As I reflect on the memories I shared with my teacher, I am reminded of the profound impact he had on my life. His passing has left a void
Will always be in our hearts Mr. Mwape

I did not have Mr.Mwape as a teach yet because I was not in chemistry but I was going to have him next year. Although I did not have him I still knew him from around the school. Mr. Mwape was a great man and he always had a smile on his face. Everyday when I would walk to class and go by his room he was always outside greeting his students and talking to the once passing by and made sure to see how everyone was. I am sad I did not get to have him as a teacher but I will always remember him. I pray for his family and friends during this time! I know he will do great things in heaven just as he done down here.

It was a pleasure to work with James at Camden County Technical School. He was a dedicated teacher with a heart for his students. I will remember, with fondness, the many times we collaborated together - doing professional work and the lighter moments when his stories amazed me and his laugh cheered me. I will miss him.
