Obituary of Rebecca James

Please share a memory of Rebecca to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Rebecca James, affectionately known as "Becky", was born in Camden, New Jersey on Friday, January 26, 1962 to Celestine and William Morris. Rebecca lived in Camden, New Jersey before relocating to Pennsauken, New Jersey where she lived with her husband, daughters, and granddaughter. In 1996, she married her best friend since high school, Michael James. Two years later, Michael and Rebecca moved into their very first home together-a home she took pride and joy in maintaining. She would meticulously mow her lawn and it always had to have the perfect edging. In the springtime, you could find beautiful flowers and plants brightening up the lawn. Rebecca was a hard worker and was proud of providing for her family and community at large. She worked as a Social Services Coordinator at CRM Residential based in Trenton, NJ. Prior to CRM Residential, Rebecca worked at a host of social services organizations, such as Catholic Charities and Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies, to name a few. When Rebecca was not working, she was cleaning, cooking, watering her plant babies, and listening to her favorite singers, Luther Vandross and Anita Baker. Rebecca loved to host family barbeques in the summer and cook big Sunday dinners for her family - no one would ever go hungry around Rebecca! Rebecca was such a loving and generous person, even when she did not have much to give. She loved her children and grandchildren to no end. She was so many things to so many people, and she made hard times look easy. Rebecca had a clear understanding and strong belief that trials and tribulations were only temporary. She had an indomitable will to live in gratitude for the beauty of life. A heart of gold, one thing about Rebecca is that she was REAL. She didn't feel the need to sugar coat what anyone needed to hear - but she always did it in a loving and respectful way. Rebecca was the epitome of an excellent wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She truly cared deeply for those she loved. To know Rebecca was to love Rebecca. Rebecca will be sorely missed by everyone who loved her. Rebecca joins in eternal rest with her husband, Michael; her mother, Celestine; her father, William Sr.; her brother, William Jr.; and her sisters, Diane and Denise. Rebecca leaves to cherish her memory her brothers, David, John, and Mark; her sisters, Doris and Queen Esther; her daughters, Tameka, Ayisha, and La'Shaniece; her grandchildren, La'Dasha, Jayden, Jackson, Faithe-Mari, Maxwell, and Sophia; her son-in-law, Stephen; her mother-in-law, Edith; her brother-in-law, Reith; her best friend, Tracy; her close family members, Tyeka and Hinya; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other loved ones.
