Obituary of Latasha Fleming

Latasha Marie Fleming was born March 10, 1985, in Camden, New Jersey into the union of Jennifer and Preston Fleming, Jr. Latasha spent the first three years of her life in Camden, NJ before relocating with her family to Glassboro, New Jersey in 1988 where she was raised. Latasha, known as Tasha, attended Glassboro public schools, and graduated from Glassboro High School in 2004. Soon after, she relocated to the neighboring town of Clayton, NJ where she resided with her children for the past 19 years. Latasha built a life for her and her five children whom she loved with her entire being. No one could say anything wrong about her babies. In 2005, Latasha pursued a career in the medical field and held various positions throughout the duration of her pursuit. She had a heart of pure gold and truly enjoyed aiding and assisting people whether they were complete strangers or close family and friends. She was also known for her ability to make anyone laugh using of this weird sense of humor. Tasha had jokes for days. Latasha expressed her love in many ways, but the one that will stick forever is the nicknames she created for everyone. Everyone had a nickname. It's how she greeted those she loved - a great smile with a side of slick comments to make you laugh. If you didn’t have a place to stay, Tasha made it her business to open her doors to you. She was always looking out for people around her providing shelter and food. She was known for her famous pasta salad. Cooking was something she really enjoyed. Latasha had a fighting nature about her. She was quick to tell you how she felt and held no punches in telling anyone the truth in love. As her health began to decline, she developed a very different position in battling her illness until she was called home to be with the Lord at the age of 38, on September 18, 2023, in Mullica Hill, NJ. Latasha was predeceased by her father, Preston Fleming, Jr (teabag); aunt, Marie Fleming(Gerrie); uncle, John Pettit (Juneboy); grandfathers, John Pettit and Preston Fleming Sr. (Sunny); grandmothers, Mattie Lee Rutherford and Bernice Fleming, and cousins, Michael Fleming and Aliyah Merriwether. She leaves to cherish her memories: her children: Tashala Fleming, Khale Wise, Tacier Wise, Tamear Wise, and Hazon Ferguson; mother, Jennifer Fleming; father, Larry Wright(Wanda); three brothers: Joe, Dwayne, and Johnny: three sisters: Shay, Josetta, and Devona; aunts: Margaret Willis, Darlene Bunch (Donnie), Christine Rutherford, and Tina: uncles: Robert Fleming, Kevin Burnett, and Jessie Flowers: best friends, Iris and Jovan; cousins: Kiellah, Emmett (Jacinta), Medford, Simone, and Shanaye Bunch and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
