Obituary of Carol M Edmonds

Carol Marie Ayers Edmonds was called home on October 31, 2023, in Sewell, New Jersey. She was born on December 20,1951 to father Richard Ayers and mother Willie Mae Simmons James Ayers in Camden, NJ. She attended Delsea High in Franklinville, New Jersey where she loved to play basketball and field hockey. She won awards for most valuable player. Her senior year she went to Camden High School in Camden, New Jersey where she graduated in the class of 1970. She married DeCarlo Don Edmonds in 1970 and moved to Jacksonville, NC in 1978. They had three children DeCarlo Edmonds, Litishia Edmonds-Belmo and Darlene Edmonds Babb. She retired from MSA. She was also very active at her church Shiloh Apostolic Holiness Church in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Richard Ayers and Williemae Simmons James Ayers, brothers, Jerome James and Nathaniel James, Sr. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sisters: Vivian James Alexander, Elizabeth James Caraway, Frances Mae Ayers, and Cecelia Lorraine Ayers Kee; children : DeCarlo Edmonds, Litishia Edmonds-Belmo (Mario Belmo), and Darlene Edmonds Babb; grandchildren: Demetrius Edmonds, Je’nai Vogt, Jadyn Belmo, Tekyah Belmo, Arianna Belmo, Kadijah Edmonds, Quinten Edmonds, Shevelle Morgan, Sinclair Babb, Jr., Shaquel Babb, and Kurla Edmonds, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
