Life Story
Dwight Edward Coney Jr., passed away on January 8, 2024. Born on September 10, 1982, in Camden, NJ.
DJ was a dedicated family man and a loving father, husband, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He took great pride in raising his children and cherishing his family.
DJ attended Collingswood High School where he dominated the football field, became a basketball treasure and currently holds records in Track and Field. He later pursued higher education at SUNY Morrisville. DJ had a strong work ethic and served as a Project Assistant at Amazon since 2016, where he made valuable contributions to the company.
Outside of work, DJ had a passion for sports. His hobbies included playing and watching football and basketball and attending any family events being held. Dj had a huge love for sneakers with a sizable collection of sneakers and watches. His love for these hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to connect with others who shared his interests.
DJ is survived by his beloved wife Jessica Prater-Coney, children Kingston and Peyton Coney and Isaiah Thompson, His mother, Kimberly Montgomery (Jason), his father, Dwight Coney Sr. (Rhonda), His stepfather, George Williams, His Sisters, Saleena Nixon (Derrick) and Aaliyah Edmonds, His brothers, Daron, Darran and Devante Coney, his mother in law Nadine “mama Nadine” Prater, brother in law Robert Warfield (Dyon) and his best friend Steven (Puda) Wesley. He also leaves behind an abundance of cousins, nieces, nephews, god children, aunts, uncles, friends, and co-workers. To all he leaves cherished memories and a legacy of love and dedication.
