Lawrence Johnson entered this life on July the 7th 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the 8th child of 11 of the late Joseph M. Johnson and Florence R. (Woodhouse) Johnson. The brother of the late Franchot T. Johnson, the late Loretta Y. (Johnson) Thomas, the late Samuel H. Johnson, Eunice (Candy Johnson) Bullock, Herman Johnson, the late Barbara (Bessie Johnson) Dallas, the late Ernestine (Johnson) Murrell and the late Curtis Johnson.
Lawrence was educated in the Philadelphia School System. When him & his parents, and the rest of his siblings moved to Camden, NJ. February the 18th in 1953, he was educated in the Camden City Public School System. He was employed as Fuller Brush Man and sold vacuum cleaners. Lawrence loved to watch Old Western movies and his favorite program was the Untouchables. One of the things he liked the most was going down to the Jersey Shore and walking the boardwalk and spending the entire day there feasting on breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Lawrence departed this life on January the 10th in Stratford, New Jersey after a brief illness.
Lawrence leaves to mourn in his passing, his long-time fiancé Frances H. Clifford of Lindenwold, NJ, his sister Eunice (Candy Johnson) Bullock of Camden, NJ, his brother Herman Johnson of Somerdale, NJ, his daughter Charlotte Surgick of North Carolina, his son Robert Surgick (Adele) his stepdaughter Danielle Garcia (Anthony) his stepson Brian Clifford (Michelle) his stepdaughter Karen Hahn, (Martin) two special nieces Rosemary C. Johnson, and Amelia (Pebbles) Johnson-Palmer (Kevin) and a host of relatives and friends.
