Malissa brought so much light and love to my life. We worked together at the Tech Center and she was one of the few I could talk to about our faith in Jesus. When she told me ahe was sick we prayed together and I continued to pray after we worked from home during covid. Unfortunately I never went back after covid but I know she is at peace in Glory with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. My love and prayers go out to her family.

I only had the pleasure of knowing Malissa a short period of time, but in that short time, I felt a special connection to her. Her mother-in-law was one of my residents at Meadowview Nursing Home. It was through this relationship I had the opportunity to talk with Malissa on many occasions. Her strength was paramount considering what she was going through and she still attempted to be there for her mother-in-law. I am encouraged by her courage and I had my entire church praying for her and hoping against hope that she would overcome. And guess what, overcome she did! She has no more pain and physical suffering. She will be missed on this earthly realm but of this one thing I am sure, we will see this beautiful soul again. Rest on angel God has you in his loving arms!!! Michelle M. Walker, Social worker

My sincere condolences to the family. Malissa became a friend of mine through her friendship and relationship with my children, my oldest daughter in particular. She was very nice and always had a wonderful smile. Over the years, it was nice to see her whenever our paths crossed. Your memories will always be there for all to cherish. Bless you and rest in peace. Walter Johnson

My deepest condolences to the family of Malissa. She had the biggest heart and brightest smile. Whenever we got the chance to talk we often shared our Faith and spoke of the goodness of God. Whenever I saw her at work at the FAA Tech. Center she would greet me "How you doin' Ms. Deb"? The last time I spoke with her she told me she was doing OK getting around on her scooter and I said "me too girl" and we laughed. Family know earth has no sorrow Heaven can not heal.

To Claude and Family,
My sincere condolences to you and the Matthews Family in the loss of Malissa. She was truly a caring, kind, beautiful spirit as a coworker, and friend. She made the Christmas parties extremely beautiful. The decorations made you feel like you were in a banquet hall. I miss the daily talks, and she will be missed. Rest in heaven.

I am so blessed to have worked with Malissa at the Tech Center. She was such a warm, wonderful, kind and caring person. She always made sure she took care of her coworkers, going so far as to tape candy (the good stuff!) to the outside of her cubicle that she had decorated for Christmas. Aside from her smile, which always lifted my spirits, what I admired most about Malissa was her grace, strength and courage. To all of her family and friends I give you my sincere condolences and hope that Malissa's spirit will be a beacon of light that guides you throughout your lives.
