Obituary of Jewlnica Chant'e Freeman

Once upon a time, in an earthly kingdom, there was a Royal Princess named, “Jewlnica Chant’e Freeman.'' This rare Jewel, was affectionately called "Juji." She was born on November 26, in the year 2010. She was born to Jernica Quinones (Freeman) and Michael Freeman. The Royal Princess was a fireball of energy and power. She loved tussling with her brothers, playing with her sister-cousin, Amoni, chasing after her dog Jagger, whom she took to church on occasion, and would often be caught sneaking him chocolate chip cookies. One of her favorite replies to almost everything was “Ain't nobody got time for that, I was going to the Barbecue”. She adopted that quote from her favorite commercial. Her mother shares, “The day I birthed Royalty, I was in so much pain; this was the morning after Thanksgiving. Through the pain, I could faintly hear my mother calling my name from the other room. As I got up to walk over and enter the room, she asked if I could take her shopping for Black Friday sales. I replied and said, “Mom, I’m having labor pains. I think I’m having the baby today.” She in return asked, “How far apart are the contractions?” The contractions were every hour. My mother still wanted to go shopping. I agreed to go shopping. In the stores, my mother wanted to try on many shoes; anyone who knew my biological mother, also knew she couldn’t do this on her own. By the 5th pair of shoes my mother was trying on, I could feel the pains getting sharper every 20 minutes. "Mom, I can’t bend anymore. I’m in too much pain," I said. She replied, "Okay, let’s get in line," then she left me in line to go smoke a cigarette. The pains are coming every 15 minutes. Not being able to hold my breath as I'm next in line, the cashier asks if I'm okay, and if I'm going into labor. I told her no, I just needed to pay for my mother’s items. After coming out of the store, rushing toward my mother, I said to her, “Okay mom, let’s go. I need to go home and tell Mike I’m in labor,” to which she asked if I can stop at one more place nearby before I go home. I took her to the store and then dropped off the gift to my nephews who were around the corner from where we lived. The stories on the day of Juji's arrival, dull in comparison to the triumphant journey she has endured the past ten years. Her young precious life endured so much pain and suffering caused by a very unfortunate accident. Throughout her life, she underwent several surgeries to overcome various challenges. These surgeries included a Gtube, Jtube, tracheostomy, reconstructed spine surgery, hip surgery twice, a Baclofen Pump to manage pain and spasms, and had her tendons cut. Despite facing such hardships, Jewlnica Chant’e Freeman remained a resilient Royal Princess, demonstrating remarkable strength and courage. Her life touched the hearts of many individuals and reached various places. Jewlnica Chant’e Freeman made a significant impact on those around her and received care and support from institutions such as Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Weisman Children’s Rehab, Cooper University Hospital, St. Christopher’s Hospital, Nemours in Delaware, Larc School, Voorhees Pediatric Nursing Facility for Children, and The Bancroft School. Each of these places played a vital role in her journey, providing care, rehabilitation, and education as she navigated through life's challenges with resilience and determination. Jewlnica Chant’e Freeman's life has left a lasting impact and legacy through various meaningful endeavors. Her mother established the “Rare Jewel” nonprofit organization, dedicated to raising awareness for traumatic brain injury in children related to near-drowning incidents. Through this organization, over 300 life jackets were given to children, promoting water safety and accident prevention. Jewlnica also inspired her mother to write books such as "Melody and Jewel’s Big Adventure" and the "Water and Pool Safety Coloring Book," aimed at educating children on water safety. In addition to her literary contributions, Jewlnica's legacy includes organizing events like "Jewel’s Special Day" and the "Little Miss Camden Pageant," which celebrated and empowered young individuals. Her impact extended to community events like the "Blessed Day Parade" on July 8th2021, featuring guests from the CCSS dance group and Saving Grace Ministries. Despite facing these challenges, she remained courageous in her fight. Her purpose in this life meant to be of service and advocacy for those who have suffered a TBI from a near drowning accident. It culminated in the establishment of Royal Priesthood Ministries, a testament to her purpose and destiny, for making a difference in the lives of others and leaving a positive impact on the world around her. Jewlnica Chant’e Freeman's legacy continues to inspire and uplift countless individuals, embodying the essence of resilience, compassion, and empowerment. Receiving Juji at the Royal gates of heaven is Queen Grandmother Milagros Quinones. She leaves to cherish her memory, her parents, Jernica and Michael, brothers, D’Angelo, Devin, Kyheem, Bless’n, and Tyree, one sister, LyrikMelody, maternal great-grandmother, Marta, maternal grandfather, Victor Sr., and paternal grandparents, Charlene Ransom and Louis Freeman, aunts, Adelaida, Shant’e, Nikki, Aleathea, Catherine, and uncles, Victor Jr. and Esteven. Great aunts Soraya, Blanch, Lorraine, and great uncles Victor, Raul, Efrain, Charles, Marvin (Maribel), Joseph, John, and George.
