Obituary of Lourdes Milagros Garcia

Today, we gather to honor and remember the life of Lourdes Milagros Garcia, better known as “Doña Inis”. She was born May 5th, 1967 in Cidra, Puerto Rico to the late, Awilda Rivera and Jose Garcia. Lourdes spent her childhood years in Puerto Rico, where she attended schools before relocating to Hartford, CT in 1977. She started her family by welcoming her loving children, Felix and Awilda. She later relocated to Camden NJ in 1984, where she was blessed with three more children, Natali, Alexander and Edwin. Lourdes met the love of her life, Tomas (Tommy) in 1999. They spent 25 wonderful years together. In addition to being a loving husband, he took on the role of being a father to her five children. They had the privilege of raising her grandson Felix Jr. as their very own son. Lourdes enjoyed being a homemaker and loved spending time with her two cats, Lucy and Mighty. She took much pride in making sure her home was in order at all times. Whenever Lourdes made a meal you would definitely want a seat at that table. She will be remembered for her boisterous personality and never failing to make those around her laugh. She was always in her room scrolling on TikTok, laughing, & singing at the top of her lungs. Lourdes never missed her monthly trips to the casinos. She really loved her slot machines! We will always remember her beautiful eyes and contagious smile. While she is forever in our hearts, her laugh will also be forever in our memories. She is now reunited with her loving son Felix, her parents Awilda and Jose, her two brothers, Edwin and Jose and her granddaughter Alexaira. She is survived by her husband Tommy, her five children: Awilda, Natali, Alex, Edwin and Felix Jr., Siblings: Carlos, Noemi and Maria, her grand-children: Angelis, Angel, Angelina, Alexander, Alyssa, Anthony, Alexandrius, Jaylen and Lukas, her great grandchildren: Abigail and Matthew and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her tremendously
