Obituary of Linda Greggs

Linda Marie Greggs, also known to her family as ‘Lil Linda’ was born on July 1, 1950 in Roxobel, NC (near Raleigh) to Ruth Lassiter Edwards. After 8 years of health battles, our beloved Linda passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Linda was raised from the age of 2 and educated in Newark, NJ. In 1968, she married Tony C. Sanderson. Together, they welcomed 4 wonderful children. In 1971, Linda dedicated her life to Jehovah as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was committed to preaching the good news in the ministry as a Pioneer. Linda always valued education so even as a young mother, she was determined to make a better life for her and her children. In 1978, she received her G.E.D from Frank Morrell High School in Irvington, NJ. From there, she went on to study at The Wilford Beauty Academy of Hair & Beauty Culture where she received her Cosmetology License in 1980. Over the next 32 years, she would dedicate her career to helping others by working as her own boss as a Beautician and supporting youth within the Newark Board of Education as a Teacher’s Assistant. Linda enjoyed beach days with the family, vacations, and had a passion for creating fashion with her love for sewing. On December 4,1984, Linda married John Henry Greggs, Sr. John and Snoop, as he would call her, went on to share 42 years of love. Together, they enjoyed the gatherings with their brothers & sisters, being partners in the ministry, and ultimately dedicated their union to serving Jehovah. They loved spending time with their grandchildren and great grandchildren.
