Lillie ‘Ann’ Stewart, age 66, of Pemberton, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024, on the Samaritan Hospice Unit at Virtua Hospital in Mount Holly, NJ surrounded by her loving family after courageously battling breast cancer. Although, she was initially diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 38; Lillie ‘Ann’ was a fighter who never gave up. She fought four breast cancers over 27 years like a true warrior! She continued to work until the end of 2023, and remained joyful and full of life until the day the Lord called her home. She accepted the Lord Christ Jesus at a young age and began her Christian journey at Melton Grove Missionary Baptist Church in North Carolina where she was baptized at the age of 13. She was a faithful member of St. Mark Baptist Church in Browns Mills, NJ since 2002, where she also served as a member of the usher board, until she could no longer attend due to her declining health. Lillie ‘Ann’ was the 8th child born to the late Willie McCoy Farrow and Lillian Hurdle in Hertford, N.C. on March 19, 1958. She graduated from Perquimans County High School in Hertford, NC and also completed a 2-year business program at the College of Albemarle in Elizabeth City, NC before moving to NJ where she worked for over 35 years in the electronics industry. She initially resided in Plainfield, NJ where she worked for many years at Burroughs Corporation in Piscataway, NJ, as a wave soldering lead. She then moved to Pemberton, NJ and was employed at Acutel Data Network/GTE as a circuit board inspector which led her to move to Moorestown, NJ; a town that was much closer to the company. She then moved back to Pemberton, NJ where she resided and was employed at AIM Electronics as a quality control inspector until the time of her passing. During her lifetime she proved to be an exceptional wife, mother, sister and aunt. She was the life of any party and loved to dance…it was always so much fun watching her get on the dance floor at every family event, especially when she did the “Tighten Up” She was an excellent cook, enjoyed playing spades and always bragged about playing softball when she was younger. She was a loyal Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bulls fan, enjoyed word search puzzles, she loved karate movies, and green and white were her favorite colors. Lillie ‘Ann’ will be remembered by all, as a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, auntie, and friend who always thought of others first. “To know her was to LOVE her!” She was preceded in death by her father Willie McCoy Farrow; her mother Lillian H.
