At the age of ninety-seven, Mrs. Marjorie T. Porter slipped into her peaceful eternal resting place in the early evening hours on Friday, July 12, 2024, at her home in Willingboro, New Jersey. She was the middle child of five children, born to the late Conrad and Meta Headley. Marjorie was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, where she successfully completed her education in the New York school system. In 1972, she married the love of her life, Alfred A. Porter.

After a 40-year professional career in the New York healthcare system, Marjorie retired. She then moved to New Jersey with her beloved Alfred and family, where she began her golden years. In retirement, Marjorie

dedicated her time to being a full-time grandmother, everyone's favorite aunt, part-time traveler, moviegoer, and loving wife to her husband Alfred. Together, they enjoyed retired life by attending family and friend events and watching sporting events.

Throughout her life, Marjorie was known for her kind-heartedness, which had a profound impact on everyone who met her. She was always warm and welcoming while maintaining her spunky, funny, and spicy personality. Marjorie’s ability to spread love, spark laughter, and make everyone feel at home will never be duplicated and will be forever missed.

Marjorie's husband of nineteen years, Alfred "AL" Porter, preceded her in eternal rest, as well as her children, Vincent Goddard Jr., Ronald Goddard, and Valerie Porter; a grandson, Vincent Goddard III.; her siblings, Irving Headley, Dorothy Boyce, Anthony Headley, and Gloria Foster; and her nephews, Mark Headley and Richard Headley.

Marjorie leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Ronald Goddard and wife Shayna Goddard, Rochelle Sandles, Anthony C. Goddard, Rhonda Robinson and husband Jamal Robinson, Lanae Scott and husband Phillip Scott, Lawrence Goddard, Anthony R. Goddard, Brian Goddard, and Kyree Porter; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two daughters-in-love, Regina Goddard, Cynthia Coles; sister-in-law,Carrie Porter; three nieces, Dorothy Boyce, Renee Blake, and Theresa Hickson; and three nephews, Frank Headley, Andre Headley, and Michael Blake. Marjorie also leaves to cherish her memory a host of beloved extended family and friends too numerous to name.
